I was asked by Bill Sheppard to look at the use of multiple tees to see if there was a reason to restrict usage within the QCMGA events and how to determine who played them. He said he was receiving complaints of players “moving from silver to copper/silver combo tees when their handicap index (HI) was based on their playing from the silver tees” and “that they hit the ball 250 yards”. The feeling expressed was that “they were gaming the system” to gain an advantage. My report is as follows:
