Updated Post. Congratulations to fellow QCMGA member David Friel for “Shooting His Age” for the first time at Quail Creek on Monday March 29, 2021. David is 79 and he shot a 77. Way to go David!!! Quoting him, “I shot 37-40=77 on Roadrunner and Quail from the Silver/Copper Combo Tees. I had two birdies, RR1 and Quail 9, nine pars, and 7 bogies for a 77. I was playing with Bob Litle, John Landwehr, and Dave Matthews. My previous best ever round at QC was an 81 earlier this year.” A couple of other notes about David Friel, he was the 2020 QCMGA President’s Cup Winner, and he is the Quail Creek representative to the First Tee of Tucson. David asked that anyone wishing to donate golf equipment, clubs, balls, etc., to the First Tee to contact him.
