Congratulations to fellow QCMGA member Larry Brooks for scoring a Hole In One on Coyote #4 on Saturday January 21, 2023. Way to go Larry!!!
Quoting him, “Yes, after more than 55 years of golfing I finally scored my first hole in one. Rudy Natalini and I were playing the Silver/ Copper combination tees that day. Our other two regulars did not join us because of the cold and lengthy frost delay. Coyote 4 from the Copper tees was playing at 140 yards to the back (blue) pin position according to Rudy’s range finder. I would normally hit an 8 iron but because of the firm and fast green conditions I thought the 9 iron would run out and the green does tend to pick up speed from the middle towards the back. When we walked up to the green Rudy’s 8 iron shot had in fact rolled long and off the green but my ball was nowhere in sight. I looked for a moment in the Velcro behind the green not believing it could have rolled out that far. I decided to take a look in the cup and there was my Titleist TruFeel ball. When we drove up to the #5 tee box, waiting for the group to leave the tee box, they wanted to know what all the whooping and hollering was for. The golf gods must be with me as in November, for the first time I shot my age (76)”.
