Congratulations to fellow QCMGA Member Chuck Sobiech for scoring his first career HIO on Coyote #4 on Sunday May 7, 2023. Way to go Chuck!!!
Bill Sheppard reported that Chuck got the HIO on Coyote #4 from the Silver Tees measuring 147 yards. The shot was made with a 7 iron and it was witnessed by Jim Cooley, Dale Dannen, and Rick Sutton. Bill said when Chuck texted his wife Barb about the HIO her reaction was “FINALLY”. Another item of note about this foursome……Dale Dannen (also pictured in the photo) turned 85 on Friday May 5th and shot his age of 85 on Sunday May 7th.
When asked later about the HIO, Chuck said, “I hit the ball but did not see it go into the hole. We went up to the green looking for the ball, and I could not see it. I walked by the hole and saw a ball in the cup and looked down and was surprised to see that it was my ball”.
